Maya came to visit #lausocial again today and this time, I managed to get a really nice high resolution picture with her, thanks to Ayman!

This time she brought with her lots of helpful information about Creative Commons: (From their about page)

“Creative Commons is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to making it easier for people to share and build upon the work of others, consistent with the rules of copyright.

We provide free licenses and other legal tools to mark creative work with the freedom the creator wants it to carry, so others can share, remix, use commercially, or any combination thereof.”

Maya showed us a short video about creative commons and then told us all about the CC Beirut Salon in Obros. I am very excited about attending, the program sounds really fun. To know more about it, click here.

@Mayazankoul and @Naeema mixed both their styles and came up with this poster for the beirut salon, “CC style” according to Maya. To know more about the poster click here.

What I really liked about the Creative Commons is that they encourage the remixing of ideas and creativity. It is a wonderful way to encourage the collaboration of different types of creativities, inviting everyone to share what they are good at.
